The type of anaesthesia

Hypnosis anaesthesia

Hypnosis anaesthesia can be defined as injecting proper amount of hypnagogue or anodyne into one’s body through vein, while the patient is still under constantly voluntary respiration .Thus, he or she could react to the slight stimulation or questions given by the doctor. Hypnosis anaesthesia is a sedative which reduces the restraint to one’s mind to a lower level.

According to the International Society for the Study of Pain, the word “pain” is a symptom of some physical hurt or emotional distress, a somatic sensation of acute discomfort, or a subjective experience, but can also arise without any stimulin. It includes the emotional response. Pain is also a personal feeling which is generated by a combination of miserable experiences, cultural background and disease or a mixture of fear, tension and hesitation before the operation.

A cardiovascular disease, caused by tension, often occurs on most patients after they came into the operation room. To relieve these kinds of pain and tension, our hospital offers several kinds of venous anaesthetics to meet the needs of the patients according to their situation.

Propofol is not only good for revulsion during the anesthetization. It also can be diffused, metabolized and excreted quickly, which helps to recovery fast after operations, and decrease the probability of the side effects such as vomit. Hence, it becomes a popular hypnagogue to the patients who wants to release from the pain of operation in a short time.

MID azolam, a medicament affects on central nervous system, gives the patient composedness and hypnosis without side-effects to cardiovascular system and respiration system. Compared with Diazepam, Lorazepam or any other kind of hypnagogue, the effect of MID azolam is fast, short and less painful because of its superior water solubility. For these reasons, MID azolam has been used widely in the operation.

Partial anaesthesia

Partial anaesthesia can have an effect for a period of time by injecting anaethetic to a part of the body in order to block the conduction of the nerves of this part. It is an easy anaesthetizing method and thus is frequently used.

General anaethesia

General anaethesia involves the use of general anaethesia machine with a breathing apparatus. The patient inbreathes the anaethetic, or the anaethetic is injected by mainline, which makes the patient lose his consciousness, rigor off his muscle, or lose ordinary respiring functions. Although it is complicated, it is most common way. The other three methods are not really safe until the general anaethesia is used. When using the other three methods for anaethesia, if pain or certain symptoms threatening one’s life occurs, the general anaethesia should be used at once in order to ensure the safety of the patient’s life.

Using general anaethesia is similar to the seriously sick patient’s using the resuscitator or other medical appliances. That’s why in many large hospitals affiliated to universities, the curing group working on serious illness needs anaethesia doctors. And in emergency cases, it is of great importance that the anaethesia doctor saves the patient’s life in 5 minutes.

Local anaethesia

Local anaethesia includes spinal anaethesia, epidural anaethesia and many other methods. Anaethetic is injected to subarachnoid antrum or epidural antrum. The spinal nerve is thus blocked and the target area is anathetized. However, the patient still has consciousness so that he may feel tension. The tranquillizer is injected by mainline in order to alleviate his worry.

Intravenous anaesthesia

Intravenous anaesthesia is a way in which the patient is anaesthetized by mainline. The advantages of intravenous anaesthesia are that there is no repulsion and it can easily be used without specific anaethesia appliances. Intravenous anaesthesia is used in anaesthetic induction, anaesthetic maintenance, analgesias and pain easing after the operation.

The methods of injection include one-off injection, intermittent injection and continuous injection. The dormancy anaethesia mentioned above is also a way of intravenous anaesthesia.
